IntelCenter Threat Volume by Country: Jan. 2014

FlashNet Volume by Country
Jan. 2014

IntelCenter's FlashNet alerts are sent out when a significant terrorist incident occurs or threat by terrorist or rebel group is made. Alerts are also sent out for developments which may result in an immediate increased threat, such as the arrest of key group members. Warnings by embassies and other government agencies of threats also trigger alerts.

Significant volumes of FlashNet traffic for a particular country is typically an indicator of an increased threat in that country.

The highest volume of traffic in Jan. 2014 was from Egypt with 15 alerts and is representative of the significant uptick in attacks there. Kenya has continued to rise due to increased threat traffic related to al-Shabaab. Lebanon has also seen an increase due to an elevated number of large-scale attacks there due to spillover from Syria.

FlashNet alerts are sent out 24/7 by email and SMS text message around the world. For more details or to subscribe to FlashNet, click here. Enterprise users have FlashNet included in your package, simply let your POC know you would like the FlashNet feed to be added to your profile.
